Last week my friend and I decided to have lunch at The Bluebird Café on Kings Road, Chelsea. It was absolutely boiling hot in London that day, and really, the only thing on my mind was sitting down to a large glass of water. However, as we stood at the entrance waiting to be seated, something other than the food caught my eye..
Sitting right across from where we were seated, was Lucy Watson, Andy Jordan and Stevie Johnson from Made in Chelsea! Like every true realty show fan-girl, I couldn't resist getting out of my seat to say hello..

Surf Season
Do you ever find yourself sitting in front of your computer
screen staring at the same old clothing websites or online beauty boutiques- yet
never seem to find anything that you actually like? Its time to wipe off the
dust from your internet surf board and take a swim in some new waters!
1. NET-A-PORTER
Okay so you’ve heard of this before,
probably had a look and thought “Gosh! I still
can’t afford this stuff”, but trust me, it’s possible to lose a few hours of
your day trawling through the beautiful collections that they hold. The team
behind the website will bend over backwards to suit all of their customers, no
matter if you’re spending £100 or £100,000!
2. EBAY.COM
It’s hard
to overlook this one, you can find almost anything on Ebay, whether it be a
vintage dress or a new handbag. However, beware of the fakes out there! Whilst
Ebay maybe a heaven for bargain beauties, don’t fall into the trap of fake
goods!
3.
MADE.UK.COM
Made is a
fashion accessories brand that creates pieces from recycled glass and leather
goods. The pieces are made in Kenya and support the local communities there, so
not only are you getting some beautiful jewellery; you’re also giving something
even greater back to the communities that made it (get it?)!
4.
GIFTLAB.COM
Giftlab is a
great place to pick up a one-of-a-kind gift, that can even be personalised – And
get this, they’ll even send you reminders of your friends’ birthdays!
so less...
and more..

Rose water
Okay firstly I'm not sure why it took my so long to post this. Secondly, listen up girls!
This is cheap, chic and certainly cheerful! After having a lengthy discussion with my gran about how much I hated my combination skin that would be dry yet constantly under attack of blemishes, she then went on to mention that her mother used to have beautiful skin and all she ever used was Rose water and glycerine. Having no clue where I'd find it, my first stop was Boots the chemist and I was in luck! I picked it up for around £2 and two weeks later I went back to buy three more!
On first use I couldn't quite get used to the feel of it. It was soothing, yet in a way it also made my skin feel sticky, almost. However, I woke up the next day with smooth, clean feeling and moisturised skin. Rose water has the power to draw out redness from the skin and give it an even, dewy tone.
Then, after experimenting I found an even better use for it. Before applying my foundation, I wipe the solution over my skin. By wipe, I mean splash some on my hands and spread it over my face. After waiting about 30 second for it to dry, I think pat off the excess with a towel. Then, apply foundation on to your face and you will be left with dewy, fresh and natural looking skin!

"IT'S ALWAYS A FASHION SHOW, MOM"
Lo Bothsoworth once said that it is always a fashion show, but is it?
What's the first thing you do in the morning? Run to the toilet? Check twitter? Or dash to the wardrobe to plow through your mountain of must-have fashion items?
Its often thought that us girls spend hours deciding what to wear, how to wear it and when to wear it, but honestly, I'm not sure that is the case. I mean, we're no Taylor Momsen who still believes the "underwear and outerwear" trend is okay, or that we claim to "see what clothes on the floor look clean" but do we really spend long deciding?
Its all about impressions. Sitting around the house all day and we're reluctant to even get out of our baggy t-shirts, however it would appear that depending on who we're meeting, we alter how we think we should dress. Now clearly, that sounds fairly obvious. Going to a meeting? Wear smart clothes. Shopping? Casual. Clubbing? Wearing something more than underwear is usually a start. Yet, it could also be said that we would purposely choose outfits to suit the person we are meeting. Often I have found myself picking something from my wardrobe that I don't exactly like, but for some reason I assume the person I'm meeting will, and therefore put it on anyway. Or have you heard the tales of the girls (and guys) who are desperately trying to land a job at hollister, so waltz around the shop head-to-toe in cali inspired clones. Maybe even a job in some hipster store wearing nothing but Cross print clothes that it looks like you're either in a religious cult or just didn't look in the mirror. What I'm really trying to say is: is it always a fashion show, really? Do we actually spend as much time choosing and deciding as we'd like to think, or are we more inclined to dress for others, rather than ourselves.

When in Rome..
Last year I travelled to Rome with my grandmother since it was a present for her 70th birthday! It is somewhere that she has always wanted to visit and truthfully, she never thought she would! So that's where I came into it.. I managed to plan the whole thing with my parents and somehow I was able to keep it a secret for months! However it was worth keeping to see her reaction on her special day!
Anyway.. The time I spent there was amazing (four days is never enough time) and if you ever get the chance to go, don't let it pass!
On the night we arrived there was rain, wind and even thunder and lightening! It more or less felt as though I hadn't left Britain, however the heat was a pleasant reminder that I was hundreds of miles away. Strangely enough, the storm was predicted to be the worst Rome has seen in over a century and they had given it the name of "Cleopatra", however it died down and didn't quite live up to expectations.
I could write a book about all the things I did, the places I visited and the wonders that I saw, but luckily for you I'm not going to, so here are a few snaps instead!
The last picture is of a small sweet I was given in a church right next to the Trevi Fountain. The priest took both mine and my grandmothers hand and told us we were "roses" , he also said that he knew we were grandmother and daughter, and that we had a special bond. Out of all of my memories of the city, that will be the one that will stay with me for a long time (soppy I know...pass me a tissue!)

I'm back!
As you may have noticed I haven't posted in a reeeeeally long time, and some of my posts have disappeared. I've decided to give my blog a makeover for 2013, which I hope is already going well for you (it's the 30th? Already? When did that happen?)!
Anyway, more posts soon! xo
