Oily Skin? Clinique V. Clarins

I'm always on the lookout for a moisturiser that aids my sensitive skin yet stops me breaking out.

My first stop was the Clinique counter and I was advised to purchase the 'dramatically different moisturising gel', and I was not impressed! First of all, I didn't like the texture of the moisturiser. It wasn't so much as a gel, but more of a greasy feeling liquid. Point number two, I didn't like the way it felt on my skin. It seemed to just sit on the surface instead of soaking in and doing its job! And finally, I didn't notice any difference after using it as I still broke out!
On the plus side, it is oil free so perhaps it may work for some?

So, after all of that I moved on to the Hydra-Matte lotion for combination skin from Clarins. I absolutely love love love this product! It moisturises well, stops me from breaking out as it controls the oil production from your skin, and leaves your face feeling and smelling like you've just had a spa treatment! I highly recommend!

Team up the Clarins lotion with their oily/combination toning lotion for even better skin!

Bare all?

Have you tried Angels on Bare Skin from Lush Cosmetics yet? No? Don't waste any more time!

My skin is oily/combination skin but is also fairly sensitive and this product really is a miracle! I does exactly what it says on the tin (plastic tub) "evens out skin tone, reduces redness and improves the health and appearance of your skin".

The cleanser contains ground almonds which turns into a milky paste when mixed with water on the palm of your hand. It also contains "rose absolute" which I absolutely love as it really does get rid of any redness (ever heard your grand-parents talk about the wonders of rose water and glycerin? Well this is even better).

When using the product I find it is better to take a little bit more than the directions advise. Pinch a small amount of the product ( about twice the size of a pea) and mix it with a little water in the palm of your hands until it turns to a milk coloured liquid or paste. Then gently massage the product over your face starting from the centre and concentrating on any areas which are particularly red or have uneven skin tone. Continue to massage the product over your face for around 2 minutes and gently wipe off with a damp face cloth.

You will immediately see the benefits of the product and within a week your skin will be looking be-a-u-ti-ful!
